Don't bother visiting the Randstad office at College and Bay during lunch hour: there is not receptionist. A sign informs that she is on lunch, and visitors can sign in, however to complete the sign in process, you MUST know the name of the person you are visiting, otherwise your info is not processed.
And this is what Randstad calls "good customer practice", being "responsive to customer needs" and other meaningless PR. For myself, I will contact companies directly and more than likely a narrow, focused search will give me more interviews and if/when offered a job, a rate of pay that's not reduced by the commission Randstad would shave my annual salary as a placement fee.
